3 BEST VEGAN BURGERS IN LONDON

In honour of national burger day, I thought I’d share my 3 favourite vegan burgers from London (and its surrounding areas). These 3 burgers are proof of how delicious and flavourful veggie burgers can be, and I’m pretty sure that by the end of this post you’ll be craving a big, delicious veggie burger (I know I am)!

1. Mildred’s Classic Burger

The classic burger from Mildred’s is without a doubt my favourite burger of all time. The burger patty contains smoked tofu, lentils and piquillo peppers, and is served in a fluffy focaccia bun with relish, rocket, red onion and tomato. It is bursting with flavour and tastes even better when accompanied by a portion of Mildred’s delicious chunky chips.

Mildred’s now has 3 locations across London: Soho, Camden & Kings Cross, so there is even more opportunity to try out one of these delicious burgers for yourself!

2. Fortify Café’s Falafel Burger

As a big fan of falafel, I am an even bigger fan of Fortify Café’s delicious falafel burger! It is served in a big wholemeal bun, with creamy mint yoghurt sauce and a huge, flavourful garden salad on the side.

Fortify Café is located in Maidstone in Kent, just outside of London, and is definitely worth a visit!

3. VBites Café’s Hickory Chick Burger

VBites Café has a huge variety of veggie burgers on their menu and I particularly love their Hickory Chick Burger. It contains smokey, glazed BBQ chicky pieces, and is served on a toasted bun with coleslaw and delicious skinny fries on the side.

VBites Café is located in the beautiful Brighton, just outside of London, meaning you can enjoy a walk along the beach after eating a delicious burger.

I would love to hear if you guys have tried any of these burgers and/or what your favourite veggie burgers are?

Exploring Brighton + eating at VBites vegan restaurant

Last week my friend Anna from the Ukraine came to stay with us for a few days and we spent our time exploring London, Kent and Brighton. Anna and I have so much in common, including our love for photography, animals and eating copious amounts of delicious vegan food; so as usual, we had such a great time, took crazy amounts of pictures, hung out with some adorable rescue animals and ate as much delicious vegan food as was humanly possible!

♥ BRIGHTON ♥

One of the highlights of Anna’s visit was our girly road trip to Brighton with Alfia, Maria and Natalie. We spent the day chilling out on the beach, shopping in the little boutiques by the seafront, and eating at the awesome VBites restaurant.

By the time we arrived at Brighton after an early start and a loooong car journey filled with contact lense dramas (more deets in the vlog ;)), we were all feeling pretty hungry/some of us even a little hangry; so we decided to head straight to VBites and stuff our faces with delicious vegan food.

Natalie and Maria both ordered the Bean Burger, Alfia went for the Marinated Chicky, Anna got a Hotdog and after much deliberation (everything looked so good!) I decided to go for the Hickory Chick burger. We all absolutely loved our meals and would definitely head back to VBites next time we’re in Brighton!

Photoshoot ▷▷▷

Anna is an insanely talented photographer, so after we’d stuffed ourself with food and chilled out by the beach, we decided to pretend we were models for the day, take advantage of the beautiful scenery and do an awesome beachfront photoshoot for my clothing line. Here are some of my favourite pictures from the shoot that I’m so excited to share with you all.

♥ VLOG ♥

As well as taking crazy amount of pictures, we also made a vlog of Anna’s entire trip, so if you guys would like to see everything we got up to and all of the awesome vegan cafés/restaurants we visited be sure to watch our vlog ▷▷▷

Fortify Café Maidstone

After finding this list of six great vegan/vegan-friendly restaurants to visit in Kent, I checked out Fortify Café‘s extensive menu and instantly knew we had to check it out!

My mum and I visited the Café for lunch earlier this week and were warmly welcomed by James, the lovely owner, and his friendly staff. The restaurant, situated in Maidstone, has a great, cosy atmosphere and was full of packed full of customers throughout the afternoon – a testament to how delicious the food is!

The entire menu is 100% vegan and is an amazing example of how varied vegan food can be. Whether you fancy a toastie, a kebab, a burger, or a quiche – Fortify Café has got you covered! Needless to say, we were spoiled for choice but eventually managed to decide on what to order and everything was absolutely delicious!

DRINKS ▽▼▽▼▽

My mum ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice which she enjoyed so much that I didn’t even have a chance to snap a picture before it disappeared! I decided to go for a chocolate milkshake, which was creamy and delicious.

MAINS ▽▼▽▼▽

It was so hard to chose between all of the main course options but I finally decided on the falafel burger, whilst my mum went for the frittata. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and were served with huge, refreshing salads – the potato salad in particular was amazing!

DESSERT ▽▼▽▼▽

For dessert we shared the rocky road with vanilla ice-cream, which was honestly the best, creamiest ice-cream I have ever eaten! My mum also took advantage of the huge variety of dairy-free milks on offer and ordered an oat milk latte which she enjoyed very much!

Side note: How cute of an idea is ‘The Happy News’ newspaper?!

My mum and I absolutely loved everything we ate/drank at Fortify Café and fully intend to work our way through the rest of the menu! Thank you so much to James and his lovely team for a delicious meal.
