Icelandic Street Food – Vegan Friendly Restaurant in Reykjavik, Iceland

Icelandic Street Food is vegan-friendly restaurant in Reykjavik city centre which serves unlimited (yes, you heard that right – unlimited) vegan tomato soup in a bread bowl! The soup is spiced to perfection and the bread bowl – are you kidding me!? The coolest thing I have ever eaten out of in my entire life!

With each mouthful, you can take a spoonful of the softened bread from the inside of your bowl. Be careful not to take too much from the bottom so it doesn’t break too early; however if it does, no worries – they’ll give you a regular bowl!

There is a polaroid wall downstairs with the record holders for most refills, so if you want to be in with a chance of making it onto the wall of fame, be sure to go hungry!

I created a video review of the entire experience so you can watch that below to see how many bowls we each managed (and which one of us broke their bowl)!

If you’re looking delicious, hearty vegan food and a super cool dining experience, be sure to visit Icelandic Street Food!

Mama Reykjavik – Best Vegan Food in Iceland

Mama Reykjavik is a beautiful fully vegan restaurant in Reykjavik city centre which serves the most nourishing and delicious curries and the garlic naan bread of dreams! I was so happy to find a restaurant that serves food that not only tastes amazing, but is also packed full of nutritious, plant ingredients.

On our visit we ordered:

Dhal a la Mama – classic lentil stew elevated by the most delicious additions of roasted almonds, mango chutney & vegan yoghurt! It was so hearty and comforting.

Mama Curry – Indian spiced chickpea & potato yellow curry topped with roasted cashews, & vegan garlic yogurt! My surprise favourite dish and one of the best things I have ever eaten.

Garlic naan bread – 10/10 perfect side to the curries!

Orgasm sheese cake – so creamy and delicious, and perfectly complemented with the tartness of the wild berries.

Chocolate Tahini smoothie – simultaneously delicious and healthful!

I created a video review of the entire experience so you can watch that below to get a more in depth look at the incredible dining experience.

Hank Burger – Best Vegan Fast Food in Paris

Hank Burger has been serving up vegan versions of everyone’s fast food favourites in Paris for over 10 years! Not only is the food delicious, all of the ingredients are locally sourced, with some even being homemade, and the team is super friendly and passionate.

We first visited Hank 10 years ago, and have been back to eat there on every trip to Paris we’ve taken since – it really is that good.

The menu has so many incredible options – it’s hard to choose what to order! On our latest visit, I ordered the Ronald burger with potato wedges and added some La Vie bacon, and Matt went with the Montognard with sweet potato fries. The mayo on the side is an absolute must, it’s one of the best mayos I’ve ever eaten. We also shared a caramel milkshake which was INCREDIBLE, we definitely regretted sharing!

If you love amazing food and supporting 100% vegan businesses, Hank Burger is the place for you. All of the delicious taste, with no animals harmed.

VEGAN IN PARIS – SHAKESPEARE AND COMPANY CAFÉ

Last weekend, I visited Paris with some of my best friends from uni and whilst we were wandering around the city, we stumbled upon Shakespeare and Company Café. I was so happy to see that they had lots of vegan options so we decided to check them out. I ordered  a fresh orange juice with a hummus and carrot bagel; it was bursting with flavour and tasted absolutely delicious!

I’m so pleased we found this little gem of a cafĂ© and will definitely be heading back there next time I’m in Paris to work my way through the menu.

Whilst we were in Paris we also spent a day in Disney Land; even though we’re all grown up now, it was still such a magical experience. I vlogged our whole weekend, including our visit to Shakespeare and Company CafĂ© and our magical day in Disneyland – it’s a super fun vlog so be sure to check that out here:
