In case you missed my previous post, I thought I’d give you a little update: Matt and I are currently travelling in the USA! Our first stop was LA (you can read about that here) and the second stop of our trip was in the beautiful city of San Francisco. Once again we spoiled for choice when it came to exciting things to explore and delicious vegan eateries to try out.

One of our favourite restaurants we visited in San Diego was Seed + Salt. When Matt and I eat out, especially when we’re travelling, we usually tend to lean more towards the ‘junk food vegan’ end of the spectrum; so Seed + Salt was a much-needed refreshing change to all of the pizzas and burgers we’ve been eating. Seed + Salt is a cutely decorated little cafe on Chestnut Street that serves healthy, creative twists on classic favourites (like the BLT) without compromising on delicious taste.

Matt and I both decided to go for the Collard wraps, I ordered the NorCal and Matt had the BLT. The wraps are absolutely huge and are filled with nutritious, organic and delicious ingredients. The eggplant bacon in the BLT was absolutely incredible, it was so crispy and flavourful and just insalnely delicious!

I also loved the cucumber/cashew cream cheese combination in the Norcal as it reminded me of my favourite afternoon tea sandwiches.

Even though we were both really full after our wraps, the desserts looked so delicious that we had to try a couple. Matt got the rice crispie treat (which he loved) and I ordered the nutella brownie which was soooo good and tasted insanely like nutella.

So, if you ever find yourself in San Francisco and are looking for healthy and delicious food, be sure to check out Seed + Salt; I’m sure you’ll love it as much as we did!
